My name is Julia Fawbush and I'm a 26-year-old graphic designer

based in Northeastern Pennsylvania. I am currently a graphic artist at

The Times Leader, a local newspaper based in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, and I have been in their graphics department since June 2024.

I graduated from Misericordia University in Dallas, Pennsylvania,

in May 2022 with my Bachelors in Mass Communications and Graphic Design

and a minor in Studio Art.

I have over 10 years of experience in most of Adobe's digital apps, including

InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and Illustrator, with 5 of those years in professional hands on experience using these programs in the workplace. I have experience working with other graphic design and video editing programs such as Canva, Envato Elements, Metro Creative Connection, and DaVinci Resolve.

In other forms of media, I was a staff writer for Misericordia's news outlet,

The Highlander, and produced and co-hosted Cougar Conspiracies, an internet culture radio show on Misericordia's radio station, Cougar Radio.

My stance on generative AI remains the same despite the growing demand for it in this job field; what the minds and hands of human beings create will never be replaced by machines. Everything I create digitally is by hand.

When I'm not working, I like to spend my free time reading, listening to music

and audio books, going to concerts, attending cosplay conventions with friends,

and playing video games.
